Join me for the weekend 13-15 December at The Wild Pod at Bodhi Khaya for a weekend of Iyengar Yoga.
We will focus on yoga alignment, as well as breathwork, to help create space in the body and quieten the mind. The food will be a simple yet delicious vegetarian menu. Yoga props, food and accommodation is provided.
Bodhi Khaya is just 3hrs from Cape Town. Set in the Walker Bay Conservancy, it’s the perfect place to unwind. Spend time in between classes walking the nearby trails or swim in the dam.
ABOUT MONIQUE & IYENGAR YOGA
|
|
Monique has practiced yoga for the past 15 years and has been teaching for 9. She began yoga with the simple intention of wanting to become more supple, but soon realised the immense healing properties yoga provides. After one year of yoga her scoliosis-related pain and migraines disappeared, and in the years since yoga has transformed every part of her life from the inside out. In 2015, Monique left her career in architecture to teach and practice yoga full time. She continues to teach from her studio in Kalk Bay, Cape Town.
Iyengar yoga is for all people from all walks of life. There is nobody too stiff or too beginner for Iyengar yoga. Teachers are trained to use props to help students do the poses safely, yet still going deeply into stretching and strengthening. Iyengar yoga is strong, slow, and focuses on anatomical alignment to achieve the best openings in the body.
